Instructions to Apply Vinyl Lettering and
Graphics
Instructions:
1. Position graphic on surface and center/level, without removing backing.
(Place small pieces of tape in corners to temporarily hold).
2. Develop a hinge by taping along the whole top (common masking
tape).
3. Separate statement/graphic into small applications by cutting between words/items up to the tape
hinge so backing can be removed.
4. Remove vinyl backing paper while holding application tape from the surface (using tape hinge to keep in
place).
5. Slowly apply application tape and lettering/graphic to surface using squeegee (a
credit card or similar will work) in one direction, away from tape hinge,
starting in the center of individual/smaller applications.
6. Slowly remove application tape, pulling directly back over vinyl at a 45 deg
angle, leaving
just the vinyl on the surface.
7. With a needle you can work out any larger bubbles (most tiny bubbles will
disappear over time)
